# Delegate a domain to third-party hosting

When you register a domain in Selectel or transfer it from another registrar, management of the domain’s resource records is automatically delegated to [Selectel DNS hosting](/dns-hosting/about-dns.mdx). If you want to manage domain resource records via third-party DNS hosting, you need to delegate the domain —  [change the domain’s NS servers](#change-ns-servers) to that hosting provider’s NS servers.

## Change NS servers \{#change-ns-servers}

1. In the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/dns/default/registrar), on the top menu, click **Products** and select **Domains**.

2. In the <MoreVerticalIcon /> domain menu, select **Edit NS servers**.

3. Enter the NS server names; you must specify at least two servers.

4. Optional: if you want to specify another NS server, click **Add NS server** and enter its name.

5. Click **Save**. Changes will propagate to caching servers within 72 hours.
