# Delete zone

Deleting a zone will remove all resource records created within it.

1. In the [Control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/dns/default/hosting), on the top menu, click **Products** and select **DNS Hosting**.
2. In the **Domain Zones** section, in the  zone menu, select **Delete**. If the option is inactive, [disable zone protection from deletion](/dns-hosting/zones/protect-zone-from-deletion.mdx#disable-protection-from-deletion).<MoreVerticalIcon />
3. Enter the zone name.
4. Click **Delete**.
