Connect Direct Connect — logical port

RETN, MSK-IX

1. Connect the products and services that need to be linked with the operator's infrastructure via a Global Router; to do this, follow the instructions in Connect products and services via a Global Router.

2. Lease a communication channel from a partner provider — RETN, MSK-IX.

3. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Direct Connect.

4. Open the Logical Port tab.

5. Click Order Services.

6. Select the Global Router you used to configure connectivity in step 1.

7. Select an operator — RETN, MSK-IX.

8. Optional: enter the operator's network CIDR. You must request this data from the operator yourself. If you have not yet started coordinating the connection with the operator, leave the field blank.

9. Optional: enter the VLAN ID on the operator's side. You must request this data from the operator yourself. If you have not yet started coordinating the connection with the operator, leave the field blank.

10. Select the channel bandwidth — 1 or 10 Gbps.

11. In the Additional information field, specify a private subnet with a prefix size of at least /29 to be used for connecting the operator to your Global Router. The subnet must not overlap with other private networks on the selected router.

12. Click Order. A ticket with the service order will be created automatically.

13. Wait for a response from a Selectel employee in the ticket; they will clarify the details and provide further instructions on establishing the connection. The maximum time for Selectel to establish the connection is up to three business days.

Yandex Cloud

warning

Yandex Cloud does not support /29 network sizes. This means that Global Router redundancy (VRRP) cannot be configured. Yandex will only be able to establish a BGP session with one of the Selectel Global Routers. If the router fails or requires maintenance, the communication channel will be unavailable until it is restored.

1. Connect the products and services that need to be linked with the operator's infrastructure via a Global Router; to do this, follow the instructions in Connect products and services via a Global Router.

2. Lease a communication channel from Yandex Cloud by following the Create a new trunk connection via a partner instruction in the Yandex Cloud documentation.

3. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Direct Connect.

4. Open the Logical Port tab.

5. Click Order services.

6. Select the Global Router you used to configure connectivity in step 1.

7. Select a provider — Yandex.

8. Leave the Operator network CIDR and VLAN ID fields blank.

9. Select the channel bandwidth — 1 Gbps.

10. Optional: enter any additional information about the connection.

11. Click Order. A ticket with the service order will be created automatically.

12. Wait for a response from a Selectel employee.

13. Send a request to Yandex Cloud to organize a new private connection by following the Organize a private connection instruction in the Yandex Cloud documentation. In the request, specify the Selectel ASN: peer_bgp_asn: 64530.

14. Wait for confirmation from a Yandex Cloud employee that the new private connection has been organized.

15. Go to the ticket that was created in step 11. In the ticket:

    • state that a Yandex Cloud employee has confirmed the connection;
    • attach a copy of your request to Yandex Cloud, which you sent in step 13.

16. Wait for a response from a Selectel employee confirming that the connection has been organized. The maximum lead time for connection organization by Selectel is up to three business days.
