Reorder a dedicated server

If you already have a prebuilt or custom configuration server, you can order the same server again. Reordering a server is available to the Account Owner and a user with the member role.

Prebuilt configuration server

1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

2. Select a project.

3. In the Servers section, open the server page → in the menu, select Order server again.

4. On the Ordering tab, verify the dedicated server configuration.

5. Verify the region and pool where your server will be hosted. If necessary, change the region and pool. After placing the order, you cannot change the region and pool.

6. Select an operating system for automatic installation on the server. To select:

   • standard OS image — open the OS tab. If you need a server without an OS, on the OS tab, select No OS - boot — after the server is provisioned, you can install the OS manually or via auto-installation.

     When selecting the Astra Linux OS, the server will be provisioned with No OS - boot. After paying for the server, you need to order the Astra Linux OS installation service for the server.

   • OS image with apps — open the Apps;

   • prepared ISO image — open the Images.

7. Optional: select the boot drive where the OS will be installed. If you selected a Linux-based OS in step 4, you can partition the drives and configure software RAID.

8. Optional: for secure connection to the server via the encrypted SSH protocol, select a previously uploaded and placed SSH key or add a new one. Learn more in the Create and place an SSH key on a dedicated server. instructions.

9. Optional: if you have a Linux-based OS, the User data field will be available. To automate server configuration, specify server configuration parameters in cloud-config or bash script format. Learn more in the User data examples.

10. Select a traffic consumption model.

11. Select a billing plan.

12. Specify the required number of servers. If the required quantity is out of stock, click Notify on availability and submit a ticket.

13. Optional: configure IP addresses. If you selected an OS for autoinstallation in step 6, the network interface on the server will be automatically configured with the configured IP addresses.

    13.1. Configure the public network by selecting a VLAN:

    • shared — the server will be assigned a public IP address from the shared VLAN. It will be impossible to change the IP address or add additional IP addresses to the server;

    • dedicated — if you have already ordered a dedicated subnet, you can select the subnet and assign an IP address to the server.

    13.2. Configure the private network. An IP address from a private subnet can be assigned to the local port of a pre-configured server with a single 1 Gbps network card if a private VLAN is already allocated in the pool and a Linux-based OS is selected for autoinstallation.

    To assign a private IP address, select Assign IP address from a private subnet:

    • if you have not added a private subnet to the control panel yet, click Create private subnet, enter a CIDR from the standard range, click Create, and enter the IP address;

    • if you have already added a private subnet to the control panel, select the subnet and enter the IP address.

14. Optional: on the Additional services tab, view the list of additional services. You can order additional services after the server is handed over.

15. Confirm your agreement with the payment terms.

16. Click Pay now.

17. Review the order details and click Pay. When the server is ready for handover, you will receive an email notification and can connect to it. The paid period begins when the server is handed over. The server password will be available for viewing for 24 hours after server delivery. If you forgot your password, you can reset and recover it. After ordering, you can only perform a hardware upgrade — disks, memory, GPU.

Custom configuration server

1. In the Control Panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated Servers.

2. Select a project.

3. In the Servers section, open the server page → in the menu, select Reorder server.

4. If the server configuration is available for ordering, proceed to step 5. If an identical server configuration is not available in any of the regions, you can build a new server in the configurator — learn more in the Order a custom dedicated server. instructions.

5. On the Checkout tab, check the dedicated server configuration.

6. Check the region and pool where your server will be hosted. If necessary, change the region and pool. You cannot change the region and pool after placing the order.

7. Optional: if the server configuration includes one hardware RAID controller and you will use a Linux-based OS, configure the RAID array.
   Drives of the same size that were added to the RAID controller are automatically combined into a single RAID array.

   To configure a RAID array:

   7.1.Click Add RAID array or change the drive configuration in the existing array.

   7.2.Select the drives you want to add to the RAID array.

   7.3.Select the RAID level. Note the specifics of configuring software RAID in the control panel:

   • only two drives can be added to a RAID 1 array;
   • OS autoinstallation is available only for Linux-based OSs and for RAID 1 and RAID 0 arrays.

8. Select an operating system for automatic installation on the server. To select:

   • standard OS image — open the OS tab. If you need a server without an OS, on the OS tab, select No OS - boot — after server handover, you can install the OS manually or by autoinstallation.

     When selecting Astra Linux OS, the server will be handed over with No OS - boot. After paying for the server, you need to order the Astra Linux OS installation service on the server.

16. Optional: enter a comment for the order. For example, specify hardware connection details or the desired drive installation order. The drive installation order affects the order in which they are detected in the system. By default, drives are installed in the following order: NVMe → SSD → HDD. If a boot drive is not designated during partitioning, the OS will be installed on the drive that is detected first in the system.

17. Optional: on the Additional services tab, view the list of additional services. You can order additional services after the server is handed over.

18. Confirm your agreement with the payment terms.

19. Click Pay now.

20. Review the order details and click Pay. Depending on the selected components, preparing the server for operation may take from one to five business days. When the server is ready for handover, you will receive an email notification and can connect to it. The paid period begins when the server is handed over. The server password will be available for viewing for 24 hours after server delivery. If you forgot your password, you can reset and recover it.
