Manage dedicated server power

Last update:

You can manage the operation of a dedicated server:

Turn off the server

When a dedicated server is powered off, the server and all additional services continue to be charged: network volumes, dedicated subnets, and more.

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated servers.

  2. In the server card, click the . toggle.

  3. Click Turn off server.

  4. Wait for the server to shut down; it will switch to the Power off status. When the server is shut down, the operating system will complete the shutdown process correctly, and the power will be turned off. If the server does not respond within a certain time, it will be shut down forcibly. In the case of a forced shutdown, unsaved data may be lost.

Turn on the server

  3. Click Turn on server.

  4. Wait for the server to boot; it will enter the Power on. status.

Restart the server

The server will reboot without power cycling. When rebooting, the server shuts down and immediately turns back on — in this case, unsaved data may be lost.

  1. In the control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select Dedicated servers.

  2. Open the server page → in the menu, select Restart server.

  3. Click Restart server.

  4. Wait for the server to restart; it will enter the Power on. status.
