Connect to a Chipcore Line server via IP-KVM
IP-KVM is an additional device for remote server administration and management regardless of the CPU, BIOS, or operating system operation.
For dedicated servers, IP-KVM can only be connected to Chipcore Line servers. For servers with a KVM console, IP-KVM cannot be connected.
1. Order one-time IP-KVM connection
Hardware IP-KVM is connected to the server for 3 hours. The service time countdown begins after the access credentials are provided.
-
In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products → Dedicated Servers.
-
In the Servers section, open the server page → Services tab.
-
In the One-time IP-KVM connection (3 hours) service row, click Pay.
-
Review the order details and click Pay. Once the payment is complete, a service order ticket will be created.
-
Wait in the ticket for a response from a Selectel specialist confirming that the IP-KVM has been connected to your server. We will provide connection details in the ticket: IP-KVM type, IP-KVM IP address, username, and password.
-
If IP-KVM Lantronix is connected, HTML5 connection mode is configured by default. If you want to connect using Java, request a change of the connection mode from HTML5 to Java in the ticket.
2. Connect to the server via IP-KVM
The process of connecting to the server via IP-KVM depends on the type of IP-KVM connected to it:
We will specify the IP-KVM type in the ticket about one-time IP-KVM connection.
IP-KVM Lantronix
By default, IP-KVM is configured to connect in HTML5 mode. If you want to connect using Java, create a ticket requesting a connection mode change from HTML5 to Java.
