# Rent a remote desktop

You can connect to DaaS using either the Omnissa Horizon HTML Access browser or the Omnissa Horizon® Client desktop.

1. [Create a remote desktop](#create-remote-desktop).
2. If you want to connect to DaaS using the Blast protocol (the recommended method), [configure the Omnissa Horizon® Client desktop client](#configure-omnissa-horizon-client).
3. [Connect to the desktop](#connect-to-remote-desktop).
4. Optional: [configure remote desktop](#configure-vdi).

## 1. Create a remote desktop \{#create-remote-desktop}

## 2. Configure Omnissa Horizon Client \{#configure-omnissa-horizon-client}

1. Download the client:

   * automatically for the OS on your device; to do this, open the portal [daas.vmw.selectel.com](https://daas.vmw.selectel.com/) and select **Install VMware Horizon Client**;
   * for a specific OS from the official website [Customer Connect](https://customerconnect.omnissa.com/downloads/info/slug/virtual_desktop_and_apps/omnissa_horizon_clients/8);
   * or for a specific OS from the Selectel storage:

2. Install VMware Horizon Client.

3. Launch VMware Horizon Client.

4. Click **Add Server**.

5. Enter `daas.vmw.selectel.com`.

6. Click **Connect**.
