# Rename a remote desktop

When you [create a remote desktop](/daas/manage/create-remote-desktop.mdx), it is automatically assigned a default name in the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/vmware/daas). You can rename the desktop yourself using the standard tools of your operating system.

Renaming does not need to be coordinated. The desktop name will remain the same in the control panel.
