Manage protection plans

A protection plan can be used for several virtual machines. A single virtual machine can be used with multiple plans. For more information, see the Protection Plan section of the Cyber Backup Cloud documentation.

Create a protection plan

  1. In the Cyber Backup console, go to Devices → All devices.
  2. Select the machines for which you want to create a protection plan.
  3. Click Protect → Create plan.
  4. Optional: change the plan name.
  5. Configure the protection plan and backup settings; for more details, see the Protection plan: cheat sheet in the Cyber Backup Cloud documentation.
  6. If you need to protect an Active Directory, MS SQL, or MS Exchange server, click Application backup, enable the toggle, and click OK.
  7. Click Create. The actual start of the protection plan may be delayed by up to 30 minutes due to load balancing.

Apply a protection plan

  1. In the Cyber Backup console, go to Devices → All devices.
  2. Select the machines to which you want to apply a protection plan.
  3. In the row with the protection plan, click Apply.
