Move the project to another account
If you have already funded your Selectel account, you cannot reassign the account to another entity or individual. Register a new account and transfer all projects and services to it. In this case, you will not need to reconfigure the services in the new account.
You can migrate a project, multiple services, or all services of an account. Restrictions:
- if the services are interconnected by a private network at the L3 level using the global router You can't transfer them individually, only all of them at once. In the receiving account, the connection between the services will remain intact;
- some services are only rescheduled with downtime — we will alert you in the ticket;
- when migrating a project, all resources of this project will be migrated: dedicated servers, cloud servers, containers, public IP addresses, databases and other resources;
- all resources will remain in the same segment of the pool.
If the transferring account has services with payment by tariff plan If you transfer a paid period, the paid period will not be saved. The balance of the transferring account will be refunded for all unused days, and the paid period will start on the receiving account immediately after the transfer.
For example, you have a dedicated server with a 3 month plan costing 10,000 ₽/month. You decide to transfer it to another account after 1 month and 15 days. Then when you transfer the server, the balance of the transferring account will be refunded for the unused days — 15,000 ₽. On the receiving account, the tariff period will start again — 30,000 ₽ for three months will be deducted from the account balance in one lump sum.
After refunding the funds to the transferring account, you may issue a refund.
Transferring services to another account takes up to 15 minutes.
Move the project

Make sure you have a receiving account. If you don't, sign up for a new account.

Refill the balance of the receiving account. The balance must not be less than the cost of the services being carried over with the fee schedule.

Combine all resources to be migrated into an existing or new project.

You can transfer object storage resources to another project using storage tools.

If you need to migrate the dedicated server and hosted equipment networks, make sure that you do not use them with resources that will remain on the transferring account. To see a complete list of your public IP addresses, in the control panels go to Network services → IP addresses.

Create tickets with a transfer request from the sending and receiving accounts. Tickets must be created by users with the Account Owner role at least one day before the transfer.
In the ticket, specify:
- the numbers of the sending and receiving accounts;
- the date and time of the rescheduling. If we are unable to reschedule services at the specified time, we will notify you in a ticket and arrange another time;
- list of project IDs to be transferred: to control panels go to the product section → click on the name of the current project → in the line of the required project click on ;
- list of services for migration that do not support project work.

Provide a confirmation code in the ticket, which we will send to the contact phone number of the transferring account.

If you need to relocate equipment housed in Selectel, we will send in the ticket paperwork:
- to the transferring account — acceptance certificate for returning the equipment;
- receiving account — acceptance certificate for acceptance of the equipment and the Terms and Conditions of Communication Services.
Prior to the reschedule date, sign the documents, stamp and send scanned copies in the ticket.

When the service transfer is complete, we will send a notification in a ticket.

Verify that the migration is completed successfully.

Optional: issue a refund that were left on the sending account.
If the transferring and receiving accounts are registered to the same person, you can request a balance transfer — the transferring and receiving accounts are registered to the same person. file a ticket and provide the numbers of the transferring and receiving account. We will send an application for balance transfer.

Optional: add additional users that were created in the sending account.
