Configure auto-recovery and reinstall nodes
Reinstallation of all nodes in a group can be performed automatically via node auto-recovery — for all nodes in the cluster at once. You can reinstall one or more nodes manually.
Set up node auto-recovery
Autorecovery is not available:
- In a Managed Kubernetes cluster with a single worker node;
- a group of nodes on a dedicated server.
Node auto-recovery will delete all data on the boot disk.
With auto-recovery enabled, working nodes will be automatically reinstalled if they do not respond to availability checks for about 15 minutes. During the recovery process, pods will stop running on the idle node and will be redistributed to other nodes. Auto-recovery works for all nodes in the cluster at once.
You can enable node auto-recovery by cluster creation or for a created cluster.
- In control panels go to Cloud platform → Kubernetes.
- Open the cluster page → tab Settings.
- In the block Automation turn on Node auto-recovery.
Reinstall nodes manually
Node reinstallation is not available in Managed Kubernetes clusters on dedicated servers.
When you reinstall node, all data on the boot disk will be deleted.
You can reinstall each of the nodes manually.
- In control panels go to Cloud platform → Kubernetes.
- Open the cluster page → tab Cluster composition.
- On the menu. select Reinstall.
