Create an OpenSearch cluster
-
В control panels from the top menu, press Products and select Managed databases.
-
Click Create a cluster.
-
Enter the name of the cluster.
-
Select region и pool. Once a cluster is created, you cannot change the region and pool.
-
Select DBMS — OpenSearch.
-
Select OpenSearch version.
-
Fill in the blocks:
-
Check the price of the cloud database cluster. During beta testing, the OpenSearch Cloud Database Cluster is free of charge.
-
Click Create a cluster.
Network
An OpenSearch cluster can only be connected to a private subnet. You can create a new subnet or add the cluster to an existing subnet.
-
To add an existing private subnet, in the field Subnetwork select an existing subnet.
-
To add a new private subnet:
2.1 In the field Subnetwork select Add a new subnet.
2.2 Optional: Change the CIDR of the subnet.
2.3 Optionally: switch on the toggle switch DHCP. Read more about the DHCP protocol in Selectel's blog article How DHCP works.
2.4 Optional: Change the IP address of the default gateway. Addresses are assigned to each node in the cluster. Make sure that the number of addresses in the network is not less than the number of nodes in the cluster.
2.5 Optional: change the network where the subnet will be created — you can select an existing network or create a new one. Once the cluster is created, the network cannot be changed.
Configuration of node groups
-
Set it up node group with the Manager role:
1.1 Optionally: change the name of the node group. 1.2. Open the node group card. 1.3. Select range of configurations. 1.4 If you selected the lineup with random configurations, specify the number of vCPUs, RAM size, and disk size. 1.5. If you selected a ruler with fixed configurations, select a configuration. 1.6. Specify the number of nodes in the group. 1.7. Optionally, to make the nodes in the group accessible from the Internet, connect public IP addresses for them:
- If you have selected an existing private subnet, turn on the toggle switch Public access. The private subnet must correspond to demands;
- If you are creating a new private subnet, connect public IP addresses after the cluster is created.
IP addresses are automatically assigned to all nodes in the group.
-
Repeat steps 1.1-1.7 for groups of nodes with the Data role.
-
Optional: to add additional groups of nodes, press Add a node group, and repeat steps 1.1-1.7.
