# Cloud server with Fastpanel

Fastpanel is a web hosting control panel that simplifies the process of hosting and managing websites. With it, you can quickly create websites, manage databases, mailboxes, SSL certificates, PHP versions, and files without deep knowledge of Linux console commands.

You can [create a cloud server with Fastpanel](#create-cloud-server-with-fastpanel). The application runs on a cloud server with the Ubuntu 24.04 operating system pre-configured.

## Create a cloud server with Fastpanel \{#create-cloud-server-with-fastpanel}

For Fastpanel to work, the cloud server must be accessible from the internet. To do this, when creating a server, create a private subnet and connect a public floating IP address. To set up Fastpanel, specify the application parameters when creating the server.

After the server with Fastpanel is created, a free [TLS certificate from Let’s Encrypt®](/certificates-manager/certificates/lets-encrypt.mdx) will be automatically issued for the domain you specify. To issue the certificate, add an A record for the domain and specify the server's public floating IP address as the record value. You can add the domain to [Selectel DNS Hosting (actual](/dns-hosting/)).

### 1. Create a public floating IP address \{#create-floating-ip}

Create a public floating IP address so that the cloud server with Fastpanel is accessible from the internet.

### 2. Add an A record for the domain \{#add-a-record}

[Add a resource record](/dns-hosting/records/add-record.mdx) to access Fastpanel by domain.

Specify:

* [resource record type](/dns-hosting/records/add-record.mdx#record-types) in the group — A;
* record value — the public floating IP address that you [created in step 1](#create-floating-ip).

### 3. Create a server with Fastpanel \{#create-fastpanel-server}

  4. Fill in the application parameters:

     4.1. Enter the administrator password to log in to Fastpanel. You cannot set the username to access the panel; it is fixed — `fastuser`.

     4.2. In the **Fastpanel domain** field, enter the domain to access Fastpanel that you [added in step 2](#add-a-record).
