Restore an infobase from a backup

It is not possible to restore from a backup to the original infobase. You must create a new infobase and load the backup into it.

Connection details for the new infobase will be different. To keep the existing connection details, you can verify the backup on a test infobase, then delete the original infobase and create a new one with the same name.

The 1C server cluster where the infobase is being restored will remain available during the restoration process, but its performance may decrease, and other infobases in the cluster might become unreachable. The infobase being restored from a backup will be unavailable to users until the operation is complete.

You can create a backup of the required type.

Restore an infobase from a backup

  1. Optional: set a session lock.
  2. Create a test infobase.
  3. Upload the backup to the test infobase.
  4. Verify the test infobase.
  5. Delete the original infobase.
  6. Create a working infobase.
  7. Upload the backup to the working infobase.
  8. Optional: delete the test infobase.
  9. Optional: remove the session lock.

1. Optional: set a session lock

You can schedule maintenance time and set a session lockout for all info bases of the 1C server cluster where the info base will be restored. Once the session lockout is enabled for an info base, the base's active users will be prompted to save their data, and their sessions will be terminated.

To set a session lock, use the Set a session lock instructions.

2. Create a test infobase

  1. In the Control panel, click Products in the top menu and select 1C Enterprise Cloud.

  2. Go to the Infobases section.

  3. Click Create infobase.

  4. Specify the 1C server cluster where the infobase will run:

    4.1. Click Select existing.

    4.2. Choose the region and pool where the cluster is located.

    4.3. Select a 1C server cluster.

    4.4. Click Continue.

  5. Specify the database where the infobase will run:

    5.1. Click Select existing.

    5.2. Select a database.

    5.3. Click Continue.

  6. Verify the selected 1C server cluster and database details.

  7. Click Continue.

  8. Verify the 1C server cluster license list and click Continue. If you need more licenses, you can activate them after creating the infobase.

  9. Enter the infobase name.

  10. Click Create infobase. Once the infobase status changes to ACTIVE, the infobase will be ready for loading the backup.

3. Upload the backup to the test infobase

  1. In the Control panel, click Products in the top menu and select 1C Enterprise Cloud.
  2. Go to the Infobases section.
  3. Open the infobase page for the infobase you created as a test infobase.
  4. Open the Configuration tab.
  5. In the Infobase loading block, select Backup copy.
  6. Select the infobase whose backup you want to restore.
  7. Select a backup for restoration. Only backups with the AVAILABLE status can be selected.
  8. Click Restore.

4. Verify the test infobase

Ensure that the configuration has been loaded into the test infobase and that it works correctly. To do this, connect to 1C and perform any necessary operations in 1C to verify.

5. Delete the original infobase

  1. In the control panel, in the top menu click Products and select 1C Enterprise Cloud, then the Infobases section.
  2. In the infobase card corresponding to the original infobase, copy its name. You will need to use this name when creating the working infobase.
  3. In the menu of the infobase the backup was created from, select Delete infobase.
  4. Enter the infobase name to confirm deletion.
  5. Click Delete.

6. Create a working infobase

  1. In the Control panel, click Products in the top menu and select 1C Enterprise Cloud.

  2. Go to the Infobases section.

  3. Click Create infobase.

  4. Specify the 1C server cluster where the infobase will run:

    4.1. Click Select existing.

    4.2. Choose the region and pool where the cluster is located.

    4.3. Select a 1C server cluster.

    4.4. Click Continue.

  5. Specify the database where the infobase will run:

    5.1. Click Select existing.

    5.2. Select a database.

    5.3. Click Continue.

  6. Verify the selected 1C server cluster and database details.

  7. Click Continue.

  8. Verify the 1C server cluster license list and click Continue. If you need more licenses, you can activate them after creating the infobase.

  9. Paste the infobase name, which you copied during the deletion of the original infobase in step 2.

  10. Click Create infobase. Once the infobase status changes to ACTIVE, the infobase will be ready for loading the backup.

7. Upload the backup to the working infobase

  1. In the Control panel, click Products in the top menu and select 1C Enterprise Cloud.
  2. Go to the Infobases section.
  3. Open the page for the infobase that you created earlier.
  4. Open the Configuration tab.
  5. In the Infobase loading block, select Backup copy.
  6. Select the infobase whose backup you want to restore.
  7. Select a backup for restoration. Only backups with the AVAILABLE status can be selected.
  8. Click Restore. Once the infobase status changes to ACTIVE, the infobase will be ready for use, and you can connect to it using your previous credentials.

8. Optional: delete the test infobase

  1. In the Control panel, click Products in the top menu and select 1C Enterprise Cloud.
  2. Go to the Infobases section.
  3. In the menu of the infobase you created as a test infobase, select Delete infobase.
  4. Enter the infobase name to confirm deletion.
  5. Click Delete.

9. Optional: remove the session lock

You cannot connect to an infobase until the lock duration expires or you remove the lock manually.
