Resize 1C Database

Last update:
warning

During 1C database resizing, all information bases associated with it may be temporarily unavailable.

We recommend scheduling the maintenance during off-peak hours for the 1C database and using session locking for information bases.

When resizing, you can:

  • change the configuration;
  • change the line — from Standard to HighFreq and vice versa;
  • change the number of resources in the current fixed or custom configuration — vCPU, RAM, and local disk size. The number of vCPU and RAM can be decreased or increased; local disk size cannot be decreased.

The process of changing the database configuration depends on whether a replica exists:

  • no replica — the master node will be stopped while changes are being applied, and the database will be temporarily unavailable for read and write operations;
  • replica exists — the database will be available for read and write operations while changes are being applied. First, the replica's configuration will be changed, then the master node will switch to the replica, and its configuration will be changed as well.

The time required to change the configuration depends on the database data volume.

  1. In the Control panel, on the top menu, click Products and select 1C Managed Cloud.

  2. Go to the Databases section.

  3. Open the database page.

  4. Click Resize Database.

  5. Select a configuration.

  6. Specify the required number of resources. The number of vCPU and RAM can be increased or decreased; local disk size cannot be decreased.

  7. Optional: configure replication. A database can have only one replica.

    • To disable an existing replica, uncheck the Add replica checkbox;
    • if the database does not yet have a replica and you want to create one, check the Add replica checkbox.
  8. Click Save.
