# Configure connection to 1C

You can [connect to 1C in the ready-made cloud](/cloud-1c/connect/connect-to-1c.mdx) via a web client, thin client, or thick client (configurator). To connect via a thin or thick client, you must configure the connection beforehand.

## Configure connection via thin client \{#set-connection-via-thin-client}

You can connect to 1C via a thin client:

* over a private network in the Selectel infrastructure;
* over the internet from any device.

<Tabs queryString="set-connection-via-thin-client">
  <TabItem value="thin-client-via-private-network">
    <TabItemLabel>
      Over a private network
    </TabItemLabel>

    1. [Prepare a cloud server](#prepare-cloud-server-thin-client).
    2. [Install a thin client](#install-thin-client-private-network).
    3. [Create a private connection in the cluster settings](#create-private-connection-in-cluster-settings-thin-client).
    4. [Add an infobase to the thin client](#add-infobase-to-thin-client-private-network).

    ### 1. Prepare a cloud server \{#prepare-cloud-server-thin-client}

    1. Ensure you have [created a cloud server](/cloud-servers/create/create-server.mdx) in the same [pool](/infrastructure/locations.mdx#pool) where the required infobase is located. You can find the infobase pool in the [Control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/ones/base): in the top menu click **Products** → **1C Ready-Made Cloud** → section **Infobases** → infobase card. You can view the list of cloud servers in the [Control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/vpc/default/servers/): in the top menu click **Products** → **Cloud Servers** → section **Servers**.

    2. Ensure you have [added the cloud server to a private subnet](/cloud-servers/cloud-networks/ports.mdx#add-cloud-server-to-subnet-via-port). You can view the server subnets in the [Control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/vpc/default/servers/): in the top menu click **Products** → **Cloud Servers** → section **Servers** → server page → tab **Ports**.
