Cloud for 1C Product Description
Cloud for 1C is a cloud infrastructure prepared for working with 1C software in client-server mode.
The basic terms of product use are defined in the document Terms of Use for Selectel Services: Cloud for 1C.
To get started, use the Cloud for 1C: Quick Start guide.
The product supports user roles and types and projects.
How it works
Cloud for 1C uses cloud platform resources and includes:
- a ready-to-run 1C cloud server cluster, which hosts the 1C application server and a web server. Fixed configurations of cloud servers in the Standard and HighFreq lines and custom configurations;
- a ready-to-run cloud database cluster based on PostgreSQL 14.9 DBMS for 1C, where information base data is stored. Fixed configurations of nodes in the Standard and HighFreq lines and custom configurations.
How to work with Cloud for 1C
You can create a Cloud for 1C:
- in the control panel;
- using the Cloud for 1C API.
Access to the infrastructure is provided in client-server mode—remotely via the internet or a private network. You can work with 1C software in a ready-to-run cloud:
- a web client;
- a thin client;
- and a thick client (configurator).
See the Connecting to 1C guide for more details.
1C licenses
To work with 1C in the cloud, you need to activate 1C server and user licenses.
Temporary trial licenses and Server MINI licenses are not supported.
You can use your own licenses or rent Selectel licenses; PROF and KORP edition licenses are available for rent.
Applications
To work in the Cloud for 1C, you can upload your application (configuration) in .dt format. Base edition configurations are not supported.
If you rent 1C licenses from us, you can get standard applications free of charge.
Backup
Backup of information bases is supported in the ready-to-run 1C cloud. By default, a service bucket in S3 Selectel is used to store backups. You can connect your own S3 bucket to store backups.
For scheduled backups, you can configure a backup plan.
For more information on backups, see the Managing information base backups guide.
Scaling
Cloud for 1C resources can be scaled—for example, by increasing vCPU and RAM to improve performance. The configuration change process depends on the availability of replicas. The time it takes to change the configuration depends on the amount of data in the cluster.
For more information on scaling, see the Scaling a 1C server cluster and Scaling a database guides.
Areas of responsibility
Selectel provides
- high resource availability;
- automatic installation and configuration of the 1C DBMS and platform;
- database reliability and fault tolerance—if you create a fault-tolerant database, we will ensure failover in the event of a failure;
- automatic backup creation and storage;
- secure data storage in compliance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ;
- integration with other Selectel products and services;
- resource scaling capabilities;
- technical support;
- addition of new 1C platform versions.
A new version of the 1C platform appears in the Control Panel within five business days from the date of release. It is considered current and is available for installation for eight months from the moment it appears in the Control Panel. After eight months, the version is removed, and creating a new cluster with this version is not possible. We will notify you about the version removal 30 days in advance. If there are errors in a platform version, we may remove the version earlier.
Selectel is not responsible for
- unavailability resulting from the creation of a 1C cluster administrator account;
- correct database connection;
- optimality of database queries;
- database schema and structure;
- initiating cluster scaling;
- correct operation of the 1C application.
You administer projects in the ready-to-run 1C cloud yourself. Instructions for working with 1C can be found in the 1C documentation.
If you need help managing projects in the Cloud for 1C, order the Managed Services service.
Limits and restrictions
90% of the selected resource volume is used for the operation of the 1C server cluster. The remaining 10% (no more than 1 CPU and 4 GB RAM) is reserved for the Apache web server, which handles information base web publishing, as well as for internal service tasks.
The 1C cluster administrator login and password are set and managed by Selectel. If you need access with administrator rights, create a ticket. In the ticket, specify why you need this access.
