# Dallas Lock Trusted Boot Tool

The Dallas Lock Trusted Boot Tool (SDZ) is a hardware-software module that can be installed in a [dedicated server with a custom configuration](/dedicated/order/dedicated-configurations.mdx#custom-servers), hosted in the [Certified Data Center segment (A-DC](/certified-data-center-segment/)).

Dallas Lock allows you to:

* identify and authenticate users before the operating system boots;
* verify the authenticity and integrity of the OS being loaded and the server's hardware components, and block OS boot in case of violations;
* log security events.

The module can only be added when [ordering a server in the A-DC](/certified-data-center-segment/hosting-resources/order.mdx); it cannot be installed on an existing server. The module is compatible with most motherboards used in servers in the A-DC. ## Pricing \{#price}

The service is billed together with the dedicated server it is installed in, according to the [dedicated server pricing and billing model](/dedicated/about/payment).

## Order a service \{#order-service}

To order a server in the A-DC with the Dallas Lock trusted boot tool, follow the instructions in [Order Servers in the A-DC](/certified-data-center-segment/hosting-resources/order). In the request, specify that you require an additional information security tool — the Dallas Lock trusted boot tool.

## Cancel a service \{#disable-service}

If you wish to cancel the service but continue using the server, [create a ticket](https://my.selectel.ru/tickets/create). We will coordinate a time for the work with you and temporarily dismantle the server to remove the module. The server will be unavailable during this work.

Refunds are issued only for full unused months.
