Certified S3 overview

Certified S3 is an object storage based on Selectel infrastructure located in the gis-1 certified segment and intended for storing data of information systems with enhanced information security requirements.

Complies with the requirements of regulatory documents:

  • Order of FSTEC of Russia No. 117 dated April 11, 2025
  • Order of FSTEC of Russia No. 21 dated February 18, 2013;
  • Guidance Document dated March 30, 1992 Automated Systems. Protection against unauthorized access, classification of automated systems and information security requirements.

Requirements of regulatory documents are met taking into account the distribution of areas of responsibility.

Certified S3 is suitable for storing data of:

  • state information systems (GIS) up to security class 1 (K1) inclusive;
  • personal data information systems (ISPDn) up to security level 1 (UZ-1) inclusive;
  • automated systems of security class 1G.

The certified S3 infrastructure is multi-tenant. Data isolation is ensured through logical bucket separation and flexible access management.

The product supports user roles and types, projects, and project limits and quotas.

Areas of responsibility

Selectel is responsible for the physical security of the infrastructure, hardware platform security, network infrastructure security, and S3 object storage platform security.

Selectel is not responsible for data placed by the client in storage, configuration of access policies and encryption, account administration, and security related to logical access to the information system.

Cost

To pay for S3 resources, depending on the balance type in your account, the unified balance or Storage and CDN balance is used. Before ordering the service, top up your balance.

Resources in certified S3 are billed according to the S3 payment model.
