Order servers in the certified data center

You can order infrastructure in the certified data center via a ticket or a request on selectel.ru. Based on your request, a Selectel manager will order dedicated servers, firewalls, and additional services.

When connecting servers in the certified data center, a standard connection scheme is used — learn more in the document Terms of Service for Specific Services: Certified Data Center Segment. If you require a custom connection scheme, you can agree upon it in the service order request.

1. Order the service

1. Create a ticket or send a request on selectel.ru requesting the service. In the request, specify:

   • the quantity and dedicated server configurations that will be hosted in the certified data center. You can select a dedicated server configuration in the Control Panel and on selectel.ru;
   • hardware firewall model: UserGate, Fortinet, Cisco, Kontinent, CheckPoint;
   • list of additional information security tools.

2. If you are hosting network equipment or have additional requirements for high availability, coordinate a custom connection scheme in a ticket.

3. Wait for a reply from a Selectel employee in the ticket confirming that the infrastructure is ready for handover. Infrastructure handover timeframes include server assembly and depend on the connection scheme:

   • standard scheme — up to 10 business days. Learn more in the Terms of Use for Individual Services: Certified Data Center Segment document;
   • custom scheme — up to 20 business days.

2. Get access to the infrastructure

We will notify you in the ticket when the infrastructure is ready and send you:

• the data for accessing the server via IPMI;
• the address, username, and password for the firewall;
• the connection scheme. If certified information security tools are used, an "Installation certificate for security tools" will be attached.

When the infrastructure is handed over, the firewall will be preconfigured as follows:

• WAN interface aggregation with a public IP address is configured;
• a network interface for local traffic has been created on the server with a private IP address. This address is used as the default gateway for the server. You can configure a different IP address;
• a network interface for local IPMI traffic on the server is created with a private IP address;
• port forwarding for server access via IPMI is configured;
• access from the internet to the local area network and from the local area network to the internet is configured.

3. Prepare the infrastructure

To work with the infrastructure, perform basic setup. The network in the certified data center is physically isolated from public Selectel networks, which is why it is not possible to manage the network and server operating system via the Control Panel. The server will be displayed in the Control Panel with the status No power information. You can configure the server via IPMI and the network via a firewall.
