# Telegram bot

[Control panel users](/access-control/user-types.mdx#panel-users) can [link their account to the Telegram bot](#link-account-to-bot) if they are subscribed to [email notifications](/account/notifications.mdx#email-notifications).

Multiple Selectel accounts can be linked to one Telegram account.

## Telegram bot capabilities \{#capabilities}

In the Telegram bot, a user has access to features permitted by their [role](/access-control/role-reference.mdx).

The Telegram bot can be used to:

* view the current balance;
* receive [account notifications](/account/notifications.mdx) for the Balance and payments and Technical works categories, if you are subscribed to [email notifications](/account/notifications.mdx#email-notifications) for these categories;
* receive information about ticket updates — the bot will send notifications about any actions in a ticket; you cannot manage these notifications;
* for legal entities: request [accounting documents](/balance-and-payments/accounting-documents.mdx) for the last three months and download them in the bot at any time.

You can [manage Telegram bot settings](#manage-bot-settings).

## Link an account to the Telegram bot \{#link-account-to-bot}

1. Authorize on Telegram.
2. In the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/profile/subscriptions) in the upper-right corner, open the menu (account number) and select **Profile**.
3. Go to the **Notification Settings** section.
4. In the **Telegram** block, click **Connect**.
5. Scan the QR code or follow the link on Telegram.
6. Send the `/start` command.

## Manage Telegram bot settings \{#manage-bot-settings}

You can change the settings for some notifications in the Telegram bot — enable or disable [categories](/account/notifications.mdx#notification-categories) Balance and payments and Maintenance. If you disable category notifications in the Telegram bot, they will continue to be sent to your email.

To change Telegram bot settings, click **Menu** → **Notifications** and follow the instructions.

## Unlink an account from the Telegram bot \{#unlink-account-from-bot}

1. In the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/profile/subscriptions) in the upper-right corner, open the menu (account number) and select **Profile**.
2. Go to the **Notification Settings** section.
3. In the **Telegram** block, click **Disconnect**.
