# Subscribe to and unsubscribe from a notification category

[Subscribing to](#subscribe-to-category) and [unsubscribing](#unsubscribe-from-category) from [a notification category](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx#notification-categories) is only possible for [email](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx#email-notifications) and [Telegram bot](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx#telegram-bot-notifications) notifications. For notifications in the [control panel](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx#control-panel-notifications), you cannot manage categories. For more information about notifications, see the instructions in [Account Notification Center](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx).

## Subscribe to a notification category \{#subscribe-to-category}

If the required category is not allowed, contact the [Account Owner](/access-control/user-types.mdx#account-owner) or a user with the [iam.admin](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#iam-admin) role — they must [allow this category](/account/notifications/manage-notifications-recipients.mdx#allow-notification-categories-and-products).

1. In the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/notifications-center/settings), in the upper-right corner, open the <BellIcon /> menu and click **View all**.
2. Go to **My notification settings**.
3. In the **Channels** block, in the row of the required notification channel, click **Edit**.
4. Select the checkbox for the [notification category](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx#notification-categories).
5. Click **Save**.

## Unsubscribe from a notification category \{#unsubscribe-from-category}

1. In the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/notifications-center/settings), in the upper-right corner, open the <BellIcon /> menu and click **View all**.
2. Go to **My notification settings**.
3. In the **Channels** block, in the row of the required notification channel, click **Edit**.
4. Clear the checkbox for the [notification category](/account/notifications/notification-center.mdx#notification-categories).
5. Click **Save**.
