Account Notification Center

Account notifications inform you about infrastructure events, balance changes, scheduled maintenance, and other events. All notifications are divided into categories — groups of notifications by event type.

Notifications can be received by the Account Owner and control panel users. The Account Owner receives notifications for all categories and products. Control panel users can only receive notifications for categories and products that have been allowed for them by the Account Owner or a user with the iam.admin role. Control panel users can independently subscribe to allowed categories and unsubscribe from them.

Subscribers can also receive notifications — these are notification recipients who do not have an account or access to the control panel. Subscribers receive notifications for categories and products allowed by the Account Owner or a user with the iam.admin role.

Notifications can be received in the control panel, by email, and in the Telegram bot.

Notification categories

Notification categories are divided into two types:

  • by product — categories for which you can select products;
  • general — categories that do not apply to specific products.

The selected list of products applies to all categories by product.

Notification recipients

  • Account Owner — receives notifications for all categories and products by default. Can only unsubscribe from the Release notes and Research categories;
  • control panel users — can receive notifications for categories and products allowed by the Account Owner or a user with the iam.admin role. Can subscribe and unsubscribe from categories in the allowed list;
  • subscribers — receive notifications only for categories and products allowed by the Account Owner or a user with the iam.admin role. Can receive notifications only by email. They do not have an account or access to the control panel, so they cannot configure their notifications.

The Account Owner and a user with the iam.admin role can manage notification recipients: allow and disallow categories and products, as well as create, edit, and delete subscribers.

Notification channels

Control panel notifications

Control panel notifications are received by the Account Owner and control panel users.

The ability to see a notification in the control panel depends on the control panel user's scope and the visibility of the notification itself.

Visibility determines which users the notification is intended for:

  • for all users — notifications intended for all control panel users;
  • for users with global roles — notifications intended for users with the member, billing, and reader roles in the Account scope;
  • for project users — notifications intended for users with the Project scope.

A user's scope determines which notifications they will see:

  • a user with the Account scope sees all notifications, including notifications for any projects;
  • a user with the Project scope sees only notifications for their project and notifications with visibility for all users.

For example, a user with access only to the Dedicated Project project will not receive a notification for the My First Project project, but will receive a notification with visibility for all users.

You can view notifications in the control panel in the upper-right corner under the .

You cannot disable control panel notifications. You cannot configure notification categories for control panel notifications.

  • for categories you are subscribed to;
  • about ticket updates if the ticket category matches the category you are subscribed to;
  • from the control panel — the same notifications that you receive in the control panel in the upper-right corner under the .

Telegram bot notifications

Telegram bot notifications can be received by the Account Owner and control panel users.

The following notifications are sent to the Telegram bot:

  • for categories you are subscribed to;
  • about ticket updates if the ticket category matches the category you are subscribed to.
