# Account Notification Center

Account notifications inform you about infrastructure events, balance changes, scheduled maintenance, and other events. All notifications are divided into [categories](#notification-categories) — groups of notifications by event type.

Notifications can be received by the [Account Owner](/access-control/user-types.mdx#account-owner) and [control panel users](/access-control/user-types.mdx#panel-users). The Account Owner receives notifications for all categories and products. Control panel users can only receive notifications for categories and products that have been [allowed](/account/notifications/manage-notifications-recipients.mdx#allow-notification-categories-and-products) for them by the Account Owner or a user with the [iam.admin](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#iam-admin) role. Control panel users can independently [subscribe](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#subscribe-to-category) to allowed categories and [unsubscribe](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#unsubscribe-from-category) from them.

Subscribers can also receive notifications — these are notification recipients who do not have an account or access to the control panel. Subscribers receive notifications for categories and products allowed by the Account Owner or a user with the `iam.admin` role.

Notifications can be received in the [control panel](#control-panel-notifications), by [email](#email-notifications), and in the [Telegram bot](#telegram-bot-notifications).

## Notification categories \{#notification-categories}

Notification categories are divided into two types:

* by product — categories for which you can select products;
* general — categories that do not apply to specific products.

The selected list of products applies to all categories by product.

## Notification recipients \{#notifications-recipients}

* [Account Owner](/access-control/user-types.mdx#account-owner) — receives notifications for all categories and products by default. Can only [unsubscribe](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#unsubscribe-from-category) from the Release notes and Research categories;
* [control panel users](/access-control/user-types.mdx#panel-users) — can receive notifications for categories and products [allowed](/account/notifications/manage-notifications-recipients.mdx#allow-notification-categories-and-products) by the Account Owner or a user with the [iam.admin](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#iam-admin) role. Can [subscribe](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#subscribe-to-category) and [unsubscribe](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#unsubscribe-from-category) from categories in the allowed list;
* subscribers — receive notifications only for categories and products allowed by the Account Owner or a user with the `iam.admin` role. Can receive notifications only by [email](#email-notifications). They do not have an account or access to the control panel, so they cannot configure their notifications.

The Account Owner and a user with the `iam.admin` role can [manage notification recipients](/account/notifications/manage-notifications-recipients.mdx): allow and disallow categories and products, as well as create, edit, and delete subscribers.

## Notification channels \{#notification-channels}

### Control panel notifications \{#control-panel-notifications}

Control panel notifications are received by the [Account Owner](/access-control/user-types.mdx#account-owner) and [control panel users](/access-control/user-types.mdx#panel-users).

The ability to see a notification in the control panel depends on the control panel user's [scope](/access-control/permissions.mdx#scopes) and the visibility of the notification itself.

Visibility determines which users the notification is intended for:

* for all users — notifications intended for all control panel users;
* for users with [global roles](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#global-roles) — notifications intended for users with the [member](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#member), [billing](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#billing), and [reader](/access-control/role-reference.mdx#reader) roles in the Account scope;
* for project users — notifications intended for users with the Project scope.

A user's scope determines which notifications they will see:

* a user with the Account scope sees all notifications, including notifications for any projects;
* a user with the Project scope sees only notifications for their project and notifications with visibility for all users.

For example, a user with access only to the Dedicated Project project will not receive a notification for the My First Project project, but will receive a notification with visibility for all users.

You can view notifications in the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/notifications-center/notifications) in the upper-right corner under the <BellIcon />.

You cannot disable control panel notifications. You cannot configure [notification categories](#notification-categories) for control panel notifications.

### Email notifications \{#email-notifications}

Email notifications can be received by all [recipients](#notifications-recipients).

The following notifications are sent by email:

* for [categories](#notification-categories) you are [subscribed](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#subscribe-to-category) to;
* about ticket updates if the ticket category matches the category you are subscribed to;
* from the [control panel](#control-panel-notifications) — the same notifications that you receive in the [control panel](https://my.selectel.ru/notifications-center/notifications) in the upper-right corner under the <BellIcon />.

### Telegram bot notifications \{#telegram-bot-notifications}

Telegram bot notifications can be received by the [Account Owner](/access-control/user-types.mdx#account-owner) and [control panel users](/access-control/user-types.mdx#panel-users).

The following notifications are sent to the Telegram bot:

* for [categories](#notification-categories) you are [subscribed](/account/notifications/subscribe-unsubscribe-notification-category.mdx#subscribe-to-category) to;
* about ticket updates if the ticket category matches the category you are subscribed to.

For more information about Telegram bot capabilities and configuration, see the [Configure Telegram bot](/account/configure-telegram-bot.mdx) instructions.
